What are the check in and check out times?

Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am.

How many cars can park at the property?

There is a large driveway at the front of the house that has space for 10-12 vehicles (more parking is possible on request).

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?

Yes, you can order online with Waitrose or Morrisons for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4-5pm on the day of arrival. Both supermarkets are also just 5-10 minutes away by car.

Is the house suitable for children?

Yes, children are very welcome at The Lake House. A travel cot and highchair are available (please bring your own cot linen). Please note that children should be supervised at all times while outdoors as there is a pond and lake at the bottom of the garden.

Are pets allowed?

In order to maintain our standard of cleanliness and protect our furnishings, we do not accept pets here.

How many guests can sit at the dining table?

The dining table can seat up to 20 people. Al fresco dining for 20 people is also an option on the patio with two large grand teak tables with comfy rattan chairs and benches. We also have a third area, our Lakeside Patio, that can seat 20, with a built in BBQ and Large Firepit area right beside the lake.

Can you recommend any local places to eat out?

Yes. We'd recommend the following pubs and restaurants:

Restaurants

The Swan Inn, Hanley Swan – our local gastro-pub, amazing food and beautiful outside dining areas. Wonderful interiors too, with fires regularly lit in the winter months.
The Plough and Harrow, Guarlford – Another great local gastro-pub, only 5mins drive away. Lovely food, and vast outside dining areas, great interiors too.
The Cottage in the Wood, Malvern Wells - For a special occassion, the restaurant at The Cottage in the Wood is very well regarded.
The Inn at Welland - a lovely hidden gem, serving up great quality food and drinks in Welland, 10mins drive away.
Anupam is a well awarded Indian restaurant in the heart of Great Malvern.
Bar Limon is a fun Mediterranean tapas restaurant in Great Malvern, and they have regular live music.
Madresfield Butchers and Grill Restaurant is a new farm to fork restaurant setup by the local Madresfield Estate.

Cafes

Faun is a popular cafe in Great Malvern, serving up delicious home baked pastries, bread that they bake in-house, and a delicious menu to eat in - great for a bite to eat over lunch, a coffee, or a glass of wine.
Abbey Road Coffee is a lovely cafe in the heart of Great Malvern, right beside the Priory Church. Coffees here are exceptional.

Pubs & Bars

The Water Cure - A beautiful building that has been converted to a new cocktail bar in Great Malvern. They regularly have musicians that play in the bar area, and pizza nights out in their garden area.
The Nag's Head, Malvern – A traditional pub that has won a number of awards. Amazing beer choice.
The Morgan, Great Malvern – Our local Wye Valley owned pub that regularly hosts live music in their beer garden.
The Chase Inn - On a sunny afternoon, this beer garden is worth a visit, with views from the Malvern Hills out towards Herefordshire. Lovely to have a drink in the sunset.
The Weavers Real Ale Bar in Great Malvern is a taproom with a huge choice of beers, and a beer garden.

Can any activities be arranged at the house?

Yes, yoga sessions, pamper sessions, paddle boarding experiences/courses, open water swimming sessions, a personal cocktail maker and a private Michelin trained chef can all be arranged for guests during their stay. Outdoor cinema and games such as large football darts, children’s games and inflatables are also available. Details on request.

Is the house suitable for stag or hen parties?

Yes, stag and hen parties are accepted at this property. Please note no glitter or glow sticks are permitted and outside noise is restricted to 10pm.

What is the nearest train station?

The nearest train station is Great Malvern (1.4 miles / 30 min walk).

What is the nearest airport?

The nearest airport is Birmingham International (45 miles / 1 hour drive away).

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?

Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at The Malvern Lakehouse. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

How do I book?

You can check availability and pricing and place your booking request online, or by calling Dan on 07532440634. When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 4 months prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 4 months of your stay).
